PRODUCT DESIGNER

Implemented a token-based design system used across 3+ web apps

Company: PurposeMed

Team: myself and 2 product designers

Duration: June 2025-present

Unified multi-brand design system

PurposeMed relied on a purchased UI kit with no shared foundation across brands or internal tools. Components were duplicated, tokens were inconsistent, and designers and developers were rebuilding patterns repeatedly.

I helped lead the overhaul — auditing legacy components and code, defining shared foundations, and introducing a scalable, token-based system using Figma Variables. We implemented a two-tier token structure (global + brand-level) and collaborated closely with engineering to bring the system into Storybook with a phased rollout.

The result was a unified, brand-agnostic system that reduced duplication (150+ components down to 40), improved design–dev alignment, and enabled faster onboarding and product expansion.
